Founder of Ayama Music, Ayesha Mehta is a professional vocalist who has performed jazz, contemporary, and experimental sound works in Australia and internationally. Since graduating with a BMus Studies and vocal performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Ayesha has been in demand for her unique vocal ability as both a performer and creative collaborator.

Ayesha is also the co-creator of The Red Room (Taiwan/New York/Kolkata), an ever-expanding community, exploring and extending the boundaries between audience and performer; a not-for-profit platform for events developing a culture of learning to listen to each other, what is around us, and our selves.
Through events centered around the spoken word, music, visual arts, theater, and family friendly activities, Red Room is a community hub where participants can explore their passion with other artists and creatives.
Through the diverse range of projects and initiatives Ayesha has been involved with, her skills as a motivator, innovator and nurturer have given her the opportunity to work internationally with people from all backgrounds. Ayesha’s overwhelming desire to share all that she is passionate about has sparked the space that is Ayama Music.
Currently, Ayesha teaches at both Monash University and St Columba’s College, along with Ayama Music’s private lessons.
